THE SKY’S THE LIMIT

OUR PURSUIT OF HIGH PERFORMANCE IN THE WRC

After clinching the FIA World Rally Championship manufacturers’ title in 2018 and drivers' crown in 2019 and 2020, the TOYOTA GAZOO Racing World Rally Team continue to push the limits for better. Underneath a new appearance, the proven Yaris WRC will do its swan song after five consecutive seasons, before new technical regulations are introduced to the championship in 2022.

ULTIMATE TRAINING GROUND

Epic jumps, sensational drifts and terrifying top speeds, the WRC is the ultimate test of durability, quality, and reliability. After 17 years away and our return in 2017 we are still hungry to fight on the world’s most extreme tracks, and achieve our goal of making ever-better cars for all.

JARI-MATTI LATVAL

Winner of 18 rounds of the WRC, Jari-Matti Latvala is the most experienced driver in the history of the WRC and has been part of the story of the Toyota Gazoo Racing World Rally team since its debut in 2017. In his new role as team principal, he will continue the pursuit to make ever-better cars.

BORN TO PERFORM

The new livery is similar to that worn by the new GR010 HYBRID for the FIA World Endurance Championship – displaying the iconic GR badge, shared by Toyota’s racing and road cars, which have been developed using the knowledge gained by the team in the WRC. The Yaris WRC is a new generation World Rally Car that incorporates a high-performance engine, intelligent 4WD system and finely-tuned aerodynamics. Fresh from championship success in 2020 and armed with the lessons of four years’ fierce competition, the 2021 Yaris WRC is ready to be pushed to the limit on the world’s most demanding rally track.

ALL ROADS LEAD TO BETTER

Tarmac

Twisty turns, unforgiving roads and durable hard tyres. Lowered suspension is a must-have for high-speed events such as Rally Belgium.

Gravel

Rutted roads, rocky tracks and a range of tyre compounds. Raised gravel suspension is crucial for hot weather events such as Rally Chile.

Snow

Frozen roads, snow banks and studded tyres. A loose-surface suspension setup is essential for sub-zero events such as Arctic Rally Finland.

NEW GR YARIS. ENDLESS EXHILARATION

Developed with the experts at Toyota GAZOO Racing World Rally Team, GR Yaris brings leading motorsport technology and know-how to the road. Incorporating a powerful 1.6-litre 3-cylinder turbo engine, advanced GR-FOUR 4WD system and lightweight 3-door body, GR Yaris is born from WRC to deliver endless exhilaration on the roads you tackle.

MEET THE TEAM

Led by the newly appointed most experienced driver in the WRC history, succeeding to Four-time World Champion Tommi Mäkinen, the team enjoys strong continuity into 2021, especially with its driver line-up as all three crews stay on for a second season.
